Sir Norman Wisdom

I would like to bring your attention to a article that had been recently wrote in the daily mail regarding Norman.

We are asking fans of Sir Norman Wisdom not to believe the article wrote by the Daily mail, since its publication it has created hateful and generally unhappy people that had fully believed what had been wrote.

I spent the day with Sir Norman Wisdom and Nick on the isle of man in August 2008, unfortunately Sir Norman Wisdom has a condition that has basically removed his memory, he no longer remembers the great movies he once created, and not only that but he now no longer remembers his actual family Nick and Jaqui.

In the article they describe Sir Norman living in terrible condition's and his room having lino and hospital style beds  -  This itself is a complete bunch of lies, I spent 3 hours at the home and saw for myself how Norman is being treated and his living conditions,  when in fact each room I saw is infact a very posh looking style room,  the chair's also looked very posh and along with the bed's - Nothing like what had been wrote in the daily mail, on the walls around the home there were very posh looking paintings and each person I saw looked happy and content.

 
The Daily Mail article refers to a Plastic chair,  in the photograph above what they describe differs very much,
when in reality it is a very comfortable leather chair, the photo was taken at Abbotswood Nursing Home.

It was also wrote that his family are not allowing friends to visit him,  when in fact friends are allowed to visit Norman and until that day I had been a complete stranger to the family of Sir Norman and only a Huge Fan,  when in fact I spent the full day with Sir Norman and his family, totally the opposite to what has been wrote in the news paper article, and since the article Sir Norman's friends have visited him regularly, without any problems.

It had been wrote that Sir Norman should have moved back to his own home along with care staff to look after him, having Sir Norman living in unsafe surroundings I strongly believe could actually lead onto a accident because Sir Norman is still not aware how careful he has to be because of his age, he still believes he has the body of a 20 year old, and still loves to make people laugh just on the documentary about Norman, Having a 94 year old person in unsafe conditions I believe would have been the wrong way for Norman to live and everyone wants to ensure Sir Norman lives in a safe and secure environment.

We spent the afternoon eating icecream, And Norman Enjoying every minute,
He looked very happy and content.

When I spoke to Norman he looked happy and content, he did not speak about wanting to leave Abbotswood nursing home - when I asked him over ice cream at Peal, I asked Norman " Norman are you enjoying living your new life at Abbotswood " and he replied " He loves it very much, and he loves his family for ensuring his safe and well looked after ",   Norman fully understood his condition, and how he has trouble trying to remember things, but the whole day he looked fantastic, happy and content with not a care in the world.

I strongly believe Sir Norman Wisdom should receive the best care and attention with around the clock care to ensure he lives out his days in happiness in a safe and secure environment - Nick, Kim and Jaqui are 3 of the most caring people that I have ever spoke to in my life, and all feel very strongly for the happiness of there family member - Sir Norman Spoke how much love he has for Nick, and Nick made sure Norman Understands this.

If something had happened to Sir Norman back at his old home in Ballalough there would have been a massive outcry that Norman is not getting the best care, but I fully believe that Sir Norman is in the best possible place on the Island, and I find it very upsetting that the Daily Mail had published a fabricated article making fans sad with such lies.

Sir Norman Wisdom believed in his children should get the very best upcoming and work hard just as Norman did, and ensured they did not live on the back of Norman's Money - when infact they have not received a penny of Sir Norman's money, the power of attorney over Sir Norman's affairs had been secured so that Norman's care is priority number 1 - The cost of living at Abbotswood runs into thousands of pounds to ensure he only get's the very best care,   the power of attorney was needed so that Norman's future with living at Abbotswood could be granted so that cost's are met, Norman had agreed to the power of attorney long before he moved to Abbotswood.

It's a shame and disgusting that the Daily Mail article are trying to trick Norman Wisdom fans into a article that is infact lies from start to finish, we have wrote to the daily mail over a number of occasions asking them to remove the article but each time they fail to comment, so shame on KEITH BEABEY and ELIZABETH SANDERSON, from the Daily Mail for this article.

We are asking True Norman Wisdom fans to boycott this newspaper until the artile is removed and let your voice be heard, write to the Daily Mail and inform them of your Disgust.
